Irrigation Design
An effective irrigation system starts with proper engineering, not rule-of-thumb installs or “that’ll do” layouts. Our design service is built around performance, efficiency, and long-term reliability, so you get even coverage, healthy planting, and a system that works properly from day one.
Irrigation design that’s engineered not guessed
We use a data-driven approach to ensure uniform watering, correct pressure balance, and water-smart zone planning. The result is a system that looks tidy, runs efficiently, and avoids the common headaches like dry patches, misting, overspray, and low pressure.
Built on solid engineering
Good irrigation isn’t about adding more heads; it’s about getting the system balanced.
Our designs consider:
-
Matched precipitation rates for even watering
-
Pipe sizing for correct flow and pressure balance
-
Hydraulic calculations to prevent pressure loss
-
Correct zoning based on plant water needs
-
Proper pump sizing where required
Our irrigation design process
Every successful irrigation system starts with a proper understanding of your garden and water supply. Our design process is simple, structured, and thorough, so you know exactly what’s possible, what it will cost, and how the system will perform before any installation begins.
What makes our designs different
-
Engineering-first approach (not “rule-of-thumb”)
-
Prevents common issues: dry spots, misting, low pressure
-
Designed to minimise runoff and overspray
-
Focused on long-term reliability and water saving
Want a system that waters evenly, runs efficiently, and lasts? Book a free site visit and we’ll assess your supply, layout, and the best approach for your garden.
Free initial site visit
We start with a free visit to understand your property and what’s realistically possible with your water supply. This includes:
- Flow testing
- Static pressure testing
- Dynamic pressure testing
- Evaluation of your water source and supply capacity
Design & site survey service
After the free visit, we’ll quote for the design and site survey (if plans aren’t available). The survey ensures we design from accurate measurements, not assumptions.
What we capture on-site:
- Landscape measurements
- Turf areas, planting beds, and hydrozones
- Slopes and elevation changes
- Obstacles and visible utilities
- A scaled reference base to design from
Your proposal pack
You’ll receive a clear proposal pack that includes:
- Full system design
- Pricing
- Scope of works and deliverables
- Clear recommendations and options
